APSET is an Andhra Pradesh state eligibility test, conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh to determine the eligibility of candidates for the post of assistant professors or lecturers in colleges and universities in the state of Andhra Pradesh, Visakhapatnam. Let me tell you, this exam is conducted for a total of 30 subjects mentioned.

APSET Eligibility 2021
The APSET 2021 eligibility criteria which all the candidates are required to fulfill, is described below for all the candidates to be eligible for the entrance examination:
- All candidates are required to have a minimum of 55% marks in any university/college recognized by the UGC ‘University Grants Commission’ in their university degree or equivalent Examination. Let me tell you, candidates belonging to reserved categories like OBC / SC / ST / PWD are eligible to apply and have collected a minimum of 50% in the master’s degree or equivalent examination on the candidate.
- Candidates who have already appeared in the final examination of master’s degree or any other equivalent qualification examination can also go to APSET 2021.Tell that, after passing all the subjects in the final, the status of selection or qualification of such candidates will be confirmed. The minimum qualifying marks in a master’s degrees are around 55% for general category students and 50% for reserved category students.
- The Candidates who have a PhD degree are available and have completed the master’s degree by 19 September 1992, they are also eligible to appear in the APSET Exam 2021. That candidate gets 5% discount on the minimum marks required.
- There is no upper age limit for any candidates to appear in this APSET 2021 exam.
- Those candidates who have already qualified in the UGC NET or APSET Examination are not eligible to appear in the same subject.

APSET 2021 Exam Pattern
There are two papers to be tried by all applicants. The examination is usually conducted on the same day in two sections. Paper I is for 1 hour, and Paper II is with 2 hours of paper. Its time is specified by the authority.

- Paper I-General Paper: Let me tell you, this paper is mainly conducted to test the teaching or research aptitude of the candidates. It consists of 50 questions in the exam. It is 100 marks, that is, 2 marks per question.

- Medium of question paper: Paper I in this APSET is bilingual in English and Telugu. Subjects in Paper-II such as Commerce, Economics, History, Education, Public Administration, Political Science, and Sociology are bilingual; And all other subject papers will be conducted in English only.
- Mode of Examination: Both these papers are conducted in offline mode. All candidates are provided with an optical mark reader sheet to mark their responses with a test booklet.
Important Note- (It is special that if the candidate gives a wrong answer then there is no negative mark in it. You can take a chance in it. No negative marks are added).
How to apply for APSET 2021
Step 1: First of all, you go to the official website of APSET, and you click on the ‘Registration’ option.
Step 2: Register for the Exam.
- You can read the instructions carefully, and click on Apply Now option
- Fill in the complete information required to register for APSET
- It is very important for all the candidates to enter the password of their choice.
- You should note that the father’s name, candidate name, date of birth, email ID and mobile number should be well written.
- Then on successful registration, an email ID and a password are sent to the registered email ID of all the candidates.
Step3 – Fill Details in APSET application form
- The Candidates have to log in with their email id and password to fill the application form.
- Any candidates are required to fill in their personal details and educational qualification in the application form for the APSET exam. The details to be filled in this APSET exam include-

Step 3- Upload Photo And Signature
- It requires all candidates to sign according to their scanned photograph as well as the dimension and size shared by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.
- It is very important that the file size of the photograph be between 15kb and 50kb.
- This file signature must be between 5kb and 20kb

APSET Cutoff 2021
First of all, know what the cutoff is. Cutoff means that the minimum (at least) number on the basis of which the candidate is selected from the prescribed post is called the cutoff marks. Tell that, these officials issue the cutoff after the declaration of the result. Through which all the candidates can check the cutoff marks through online medium.

Let me tell you, as per UGC rules, in this APSET exam for the selection process, only 6 percent of the 600,000 lakh candidates will be declared to pass the exam. In this examination, only 36,000 candidates in the state will be declared eligible for the university.
In this APSET Exam, Only 6 percent of the candidates will be declared qualified for the post of Assistant Professor.
