LIC AAO Eligibility criteria
All LIC AAO candidates should ensure that they are fulfilling all the requirements specified in the eligibility criteria set by the Life Insurance Corporation before registering for the LIC AAO exam. If they fail to do so, their application is rejected.

Required Educational Qualification for LIC AAO
However, there are various functionally notified posts under the umbrella examination of LIC AAO, hence the required educational qualifications vary for all the posts. The following qualifications are required after this article:
A. For AAO (Generalist): It is necessary to have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
B. For AAO (IT): A bachelor’s degree in engineering in computer science, IT or electronics, or an MCA, or MSc (computer science) would have been very important.
C. For AAO (Chartered Accountant): A bachelor’s degree from a recognized Indian University / Institute and the candidate is required to complete the final examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and the article submitted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Tell that the candidate must be an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Candidates are required to provide their membership number and this will also be verified with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
D. For LIC AAO (Actuarial): Bachelor Degree in any discipline from A. Accredited Indian universities/institutes and candidates must have passed the paper CT1 and CT5 plus 4 or more exam papers to be conducted by the Institute of Activities of India / Institute and the Faculty of Actuaries, UK. This (total 6 or more papers) is on the date of eligibility i.e. March 1, 2020.
All candidates must provide their membership number, and the same will also be verified with the Institute of Actuaries / Institutes of India and the Faculty of Actuaries, UK.
E. For AAO (Rajbhasha): Post Graduate Master’s Degree in Hindi/Hindi translation with English as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s Degree level
or
Have a master’s degree in English along with Hindi at this postgraduate degree level
or
All master’s degree degrees in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at all postgraduate degree levels.
All the educational qualifications mentioned above must be obtained from a government-recognized university/institute/board.
Government of India approved / government regulatory body and the result was required to be declared on or before March 1, 2020. This means that a candidate appearing in the final year of the bachelor’s degree will not be eligible to appear in the LIC AAO exam.
AAO (Legal): Bachelor’s degree in Law or LLM from a recognized There will be an Indian university/institute. All candidates must have three years of bar experience as required criteria.

LIC AAO 2021: Exam Pattern
Candidates applying for this LIC AO post must have a good idea about the pattern of both LIC AAO Prelims and Mains Exam.
LIC AAO 2020-21 Recruitment consists of 3 levels and it is mandatory for the students to successfully finish the cut-off of each section to be eligible for the next round.
- Prelims: Comprises 100 multiple choice questions (MCQ) and 70 marks.
- Mains: 300 (objective) +26 marks (descriptive)
- Personal Interview: 30 marks
The duration of this exam: LIC AAO 2020-21 Preliminary Examination duration is 60 minutes, and LIC AAO 2021 Mains exam duration is 150 minutes, ie 2 hours 30 minutes.
