The examination is conducted to recruit candidates for Group-B (non-gazetted) posts in Level-6 (35,400-1,12,400) of the Pay Matrix of the Seventh Central Pay Commission. The SSC JE exam for this paper-I was conducted on 27-30 October 2020 (excluding all the candidates of Bihar) and 11 December 2020 (for all the candidates of Bihar).
What is the SSC JE exam?
This SSC JE exam is conducted for the recruitment of Junior Engineers in various government departments. It is a national level examination for recruitment of Group B non-gazetted officers in government organizations like CPWD, MES, BRO, lakhs of candidates fill the form for a few thousand seats in this exam every year.
This examination is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission, which is affiliated with the Department of Personal Training (DoPT), Government of India. How to apply for SSC JE 2021 exam?
Part I
Step 1: First of all, go to the official website of SSC www.SSC.nic.in
Step 2: Then, select ‘SSC JE 2021 Registration’.

This SSC JE Admit Card is available online on the official website of the Commission. Candidates who have paid the fee and have fulfilled the eligibility conditions for the examination will be able to download the SSC JE 2021 Admit Card by entering their registration ID and date of birth.

SSC JE Selection Process
This process starts with filling the application process in which the candidates have to give their preference to different departments. Then the candidates are available for Paper I. Candidates who qualify for the cutoff for Paper I are the candidates selected for Paper Two. Paper-II is a descriptive one.
After this paper II marks of papers, I and II are combined to make a merit list. The candidates in this merit list then proceed for document verification. After verification of this document, it is allotted to the departments on the basis of marks obtained by all the candidates, and they were given preference at the time of applying for the examination.
The process is the same for all departments except BRO. A physical proficiency test and a medical test are also included for the BRO. In this Physical Efficiency Test, all candidates are required to cover a distance of 1-mile in 10 minutes. All the candidates have to cover the distance in the allotted time. In medicine, the candidate is tested against the prescribed physical standards set by the organization.
