This SSC had postponed the SSC JE Exam 2020 for one day on March 18 through official notice. Earlier, SSC JE Admit Card 2020-21 was issued by all the regional headquarters of SSC.

All the candidates can download the SSC JE Admit Card by entering their registration number, father’s name, and date of birth till the last day of SSC JE Paper-I. SSC JE 2020-21 application status has been released on 10 March by regional websites of SSC.

All candidates should check the status of their application by entering the required details. Earlier SSC released the SSC JE Paper-I Result (previous year) on 1 March.

This SSC had released the SSC JE Result as well as SSC JE Cut Off. This SSC JE is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for the recruitment of Junior Engineers (JE) in various branches of engineering including civil, electrical, mechanical, and quantity surveys and contracts.

The examination is conducted to recruit candidates for Group-B (non-gazetted) posts in Level-6 (35,400-1,12,400) of the Pay Matrix of the Seventh Central Pay Commission. The SSC JE exam for this paper-I was conducted on 27-30 October 2020 (excluding all the candidates of Bihar) and 11 December 2020 (for all the candidates of Bihar).

What is the SSC JE exam?

This SSC JE exam is conducted for the recruitment of Junior Engineers in various government departments. It is a national level examination for recruitment of Group B non-gazetted officers in government organizations like CPWD, MES, BRO, lakhs of candidates fill the form for a few thousand seats in this exam every year.

This examination is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission, which is affiliated with the Department of Personal Training (DoPT), Government of India. These SSCs are responsible for conducting recruitment examinations for the posts under Group B and C in various departments under the Government of India.

The Staff Selection Commission for this SSC JE has announced 1601 vacancies for five posts like JE Mechanical, JE Civil, JE Electrical, JE Electrical, and Mechanical and JE Quality Survey and Contracts.

SSC JE Exam 2021 Eligibility

SSC JE 2021 Nationality

A candidate must be either:

• Citizen of India
• A subject of Bhutan
• A subject of Nepal
• A Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement.
• A person of Indian origin who has given a migration rate with the intention of permanent settlement from Sri Lanka, Burma, Pakistan, and East African countries Malawi, Zaire, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Kenya, Zambia, and Ethiopia or Vietnam.

This age criterion varies from one post to another. Also, it is different with the department that candidates are willing to join it. How to apply for SSC JE 2021 exam?

Part I

Step 1: First of all, go to the official website of SSC www.SSC.nic.in
Step 2: Then, select ‘SSC JE 2021 Registration’.
Step 3: Now, all the candidates are required to fill in their basic personal details like name, date of birth, residential address, category.
Step 4: Then, from your list, select the examination center at your convenience.

Part II

SSC JE 2021 Exam Pattern

This SSC JE exam pattern consists of two papers. This paper-I is a computer-based examination, and paper-II is an offline examination. Only those candidates who pass Paper I are allowed to appear in Paper-II. The SSC JE exam pattern for both of these papers can be seen below:

SSC JE Selection Process

This process starts with filling the application process in which the candidates have to give their preference to different departments. Then the candidates are available for Paper I. Candidates who qualify for the cutoff for Paper I are the candidates selected for Paper Two. Paper-II is a descriptive one.

After this paper II marks of papers, I and II are combined to make a merit list. The candidates in this merit list then proceed for document verification.
